Our summer styles are dropping soon! Three new styles will be landing soon to help you fill your wardrobe with fee spirited, bohemian and ethical pieces that no one else will have. We’ve created free flowing cami vests and floaty oversized tops in rayon, reclaimed silk and cotton to pair up with our kantha cropped palazzos. Designed to pair together, integrate in your wardrobe easily and offer one-of-a-kind colour combinations.

The Cami Vest

Our new cami vests come in a range of fabrics, featuring adjustable straps and cropped style, designed to be worn with our brighter kantha fabrics – such as the new cropped palazzos. They come in a plain recycled saree silk (where we’ve kept the original saree fabric) as well as our newer crepe saree fabric which has then been upcycled further by tie dying and features embellishments and embroidery. We’ve also included a small selection of black and white cotton fabrics to mix and match across our collections.  As always, we’ve hand selected each fabric for these making it personal and right for each style.

The Leela Top

Our new bohemian style summer top is called Leela, named by our favourite Dr Helina who runs the Instagram channel, Sacred Soul Magic. Leela means divine play – which is exactly how this top feels, playful, floaty and divinely feminine. We’ve created this in plain recycled silk saree fabric, crepe saree that has been upcycled by tie dying and a brand-new addition of rayon in a small, limited collection.

 Our rayon collection features bright, bold patterns that stand out in the crowd. Slightly heavier than our silks collection they hang beautifully and if you own one of our Bali tie dye robes, you’ll know what that fabric feels like. We’ve hand selected the fabrics for each one and each one is individual the same as our silk collections.

They also come in plain saree silk as well as a tie-dyed version. The fabrics on this drop are more muted and floral in nature – giving a real seventies bohemian vibe.

What is rayon and how is it sustainable

Rayon is popular in slow fashion because it blends durability with timeless design.

When sourced responsibly and produced ethically, rayon can support more sustainable fashion practices by reducing reliance on fully synthetic textiles. Made from regenerated cellulose typically sourced from wood pulp, rayon is often chosen as an alternative to polyester and other petroleum-based fabrics. It has a beautifully soft texture and flowing drape, making it perfect for relaxed bohemian clothing – such as the Leela top.

Cropped kantha palazzo’s 

We’ve added an alternative version of our full-length palazzo pants into the collection for summer. A small, limited collection featuring amazing reclaimed kantha in its usual bright and vivid colours will be hitting the shop. Cropped leg, elasticated waist and soft cotton fabric – these pair perfectly with a Leela top or a Cami Vest.

Why reclaimed silk is perfect for summer

One of the most special things about creating pieces from reclaimed fabrics is the individuality. All our new styles are created from old saree fabrics, meaning every print, colour blend, and pattern is unique.

Sometimes you’ll find repairs where the material has been patched to preserve it, sometimes you’ll find areas that are more worn than others. Sometimes we have vintage fabrics that show more of these signs and sometimes we have newer kantha. Each drop is different.
