We work a little differently 

The Global Bohemian is always a celebration of style, pattern and the uniqueness. We’re not about the latest trends and we don’t mass produce hundreds of identical pieces. You won’t find the same piece in our collections – ever. That’s because we work a little bit differently.

Our collections are designed in the UK and made in small quantities in collaboration with a trusted and responsible partnership in India. We know who we work with and we work closely to make sure every design is made ethically. We also make fewer pieces in each collection because we want to be responsible rather than over stocking and managing large sale rails.

Reclaimed

90% of our collections are reclaimed fabrics and the rest is made up of 100% cotton or rayon. We rescue instead of contributing to landfill. 

Zero Plastic

All our packaging is made from recycled materials including our boxes, promo cards and clothing tags. Even our cords are cotton not plastic.  

Fair Trade 

Our production partners pay ethically and when we purchase kantha we provide female artisans in rural villages a livelihood.  

No Mass Production 

We only make small batches and make every saree stretch further by sometimes cutting two styles from one piece of fabric.

We're pre-loved (in a different way)

Most of our collections begin life as vintage and pre-loved sarees that are given another shot at being something brilliant. We choose every silk saree by hand before it is cut, we decide if the style is to stay in the original saree pattern or if it is going to get a little bit of a wild touch by hand tie-dying. The dye reacts differently with every piece, creating its own pattern – it’s why each one is so special. That's why our silk styles aren't perfectly identical — and why we wouldn't want them to be. Some sarees have embroidered sections, sparkly details and intricate motifs adding an element of bohemian glam to them.

We make clothes for women who don't want to look like everyone else, We choose every fabric by hand, create in small runs and make relaxed feel good styles. No squeezing yourself into someone else's idea of style.

Made to match.

Every fabric is chosen with a particular style in mind. A Twilight Robe might call for rich embroidery and a darker, moodier tie dye, while another style might work better with softer tones or a more vibrant colour combination.

We also think about the season, choosing tie-dye shades that feel right for the time; like vivid tones in summer and deeper autumnal colours for the winter.

Small collections. Big ideas.

We create designs in small runs because mass production just isn't our thing. Some of our favourites pieces keep popping up and others appear once and then disappear. And once a particular fabric or colour combination is gone, it's gone. We like to try new styles and sometimes this is driven by you - like our Aurora maxi skirt.

Breathing space included

We’re not here to squeeze you into tiny waistbands or uncomfortable fits that have you holding your breath all night. Sometimes you want to cover the bits that aren't playing ball — and that's perfectly fine. We use lightweight fabrics, flowing shapes, elasticated waists and clever cinched details to give you room to move, breathe and feel good. Because your clothes should fit your life — not the other way round.
