Quality Statement
Some of our collections — particularly those made from sari silks and kantha fabrics — are crafted using pre-loved materials such as vintage cotton and silk saris. As a result, occasional small repairs or patches may be present. These are made to preserve the fabric and extend its life, contributing to our commitment to sustainability by reducing textile waste.
Due to the handmade nature of our garments, you may notice characteristics such as loose threads, hand-stitched seams, or minor dye variations. These are not flaws but rather a reflection of the artisanal processes involved, including hand-dyeing and traditional stitching techniques.
If an item has a more noticeable imperfection, we will clearly note this in the product description. However, such instances are rare.
We believe these unique qualities enhance the charm and individuality of each piece, and we thank you for supporting sustainable, handcrafted fashion.
Clothing Care Guide
To help preserve the beauty, integrity, and longevity of your handcrafted pieces, we recommend following the care instructions below for each fabric type:
Sari Silk Range
Made from vintage silk saris, these pieces are delicate and should be treated with care. Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water using a mild detergent. Hang to drip dry from a hanger; this allows most creases to naturally fall out. Avoid ironing. The fabric’s drape improves as it hangs.
100% Cotton Clothing
Our cotton garments are breathable and made with comfort in mind. Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold or warm water, or hand wash for extra care. Hang to dry naturally. Avoid tumble drying to prevent shrinkage. May be ironed on a medium heat setting if needed.
Tie-Dye Clothing
Hand-dyed using traditional methods, each piece is one of a kind. Wash separately in cold water for the first few washes, as some natural colour release may occur — this is completely normal. Hang to dry; creases will relax naturally.
Can be ironed on a medium heat setting if desired.
Kantha Stitch Pieces
Crafted from layers of upcycled fabric and stitched by hand, each kantha item is full of history and texture. Hand wash in cold or warm water with mild detergent. Hang to drip dry. Avoid ironing to preserve the hand-stitched texture. Hanging naturally smooths the fabric.
